Overplayed? I think not. Art is art no matter what and should be treated as such. I think these works are beautiful.
Why the fuck do people attempt to judge art, and especially use the old, "Mmmm, yes. It is repetitive I think, is it not, Reginald?" bullshit?Art is Art, people enjoy it and people don't.

I agree with Kevin. Repetitions are called *themes* - Renee Magritte used the image of a man in a bowler derby over and over, and his works are hanging in the Louvre.
just because some image happens to be in fashion doesn't mean that one or other artist shouldn't use it.it's awfully hard (impossible?) to do something that NOBODY has done before.
