No, it's really not very original. Nude/semi-nude, "alternative" chicks, cartoony shit, and colorful swirls are very in vogue right now. That being said, the artist is very capable and his work is good.

Also, to not recognize its unoriginality is more telling of a lack of contemporary art knowledge than anything else.
